This is the toolbox to change your life.

Once upon a time I was a young girl, laying on my bed dreaming about the wonderful life I would have, how I could do anything I wanted, was excited for every day, determined to make a difference and passionate about life. Then I grew up, got married, had kids, lost a mother & grandparents, and my life became repetitive. I stumbled upon Traci’s website and signed up for her email’s and was inspired. Some were small tips (do something nice for someone else) some were inspirational (Helen Keller was deaf and blind- imagine what you are capable of), but each one was a small poke. So when the full book came out I was excited & couldn't wait to read it. Each chapter has sections to write in so you actually get involved in the book. It is not a quick read as it takes time to digest and reflect before moving forward, but worth it. Getting your "girl" back doesn't happen over night, and I am still working on it. But I am excited for the transformation and looking forward to it. As Traci tells us, “You deserve a great life - where you dare to dream and make your dreams come true”. Get Your Girl Back is the toolbox to make it happen. #gygb

This book is truly life changing. Traci does a great job of challenging you to pursue your happiness. The exercises provide an opportunity to put your goals into action. This is a great book for all women no matter where you are in life.

Finding my girl

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this book. Traci Bild's message really resonated with me when I read her Huffington Post story about what made her start the Get Your Girl Back movement. When I heard she had a book coming out I knew I had to have it. Traci both uses her personal story and provides the tools for self-reflection to help us all find our lost girls. It is all too easy in today’s hectic world to lose ourselves in the continuous demands of day to day life. Between work, family and the many other commitments we have made, it is no wonder that we lose track of what makes us uniquely US. I think it is such an easy thing to let life steal our girls away - I'm not going to let that happen anymore!

Too simplistic for adult coloring book, but good for idea production with other artwork

Comparing this to other coloring books - a definte 2 or 3. If it would be placed in the clip art section, I might give it a stronger 3 or 4. To get the images detailed enough, in my opinion, I would have to add decorative patterns in areas where none are offered. The cover image shows one of the FEW masks with significant detail. Wish I didn't buy it for I have a clip art book that is far superior to this booklet.

Elementary Teacher

I looked and looked for a book to assist in helping teach Native American culture to my students. Finding it difficult to find hands on materials for elementary level students I turned to Amazon for help. Thankfully, I was rewarded with this book Native American Masks. It is a coloring book and my students loved it. It was an excellent change of pace activity to accompany my writing and reading materials.

About the Author
Richard E. Blahut is the Henry Magnuski Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the recipient of many awards including the IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal (1998), the Tau Beta Pi Daniel C. Drucker Eminent Faculty Award, and the IEEE Millennium Medal. He was named a Fellow of IBM Corporation in 1980 (where he worked for over 30 years) and was elected to the US National Academy of Engineering in 1990.

Nanuk Entertains and Informs

The habitat of the mighty polar bear is extreme, and Nanuk's tale is "a story of change and loss of home, a hungry family on the roam."

Written in rhyme, this Wise Owl Tale explores the changes which threaten the existence of the polar bears. While the Inuit respect the bears and share their resources, these native people and the bears are no match for their increasing encounters with man--oil drilling, greenhouse gas, garbage dumps, and the overall disappearing ice.

But this is also a story of hope for Nanuk and his family. They need our help. "It's time to be bold" and respond with solutions rather than continuing to ignore their plight. This thoughtful tale is complete with maps, a glossary, facts about polar bears, and questions to help children think about, extend, and connect with Nanuk and his story.

Important lesson for everyone

The melting ice on our planet means a diminishing habitat for animals, some of which live in environments we hardly ever think about. Nanuk's story gave us a chance to learn about her family and how they live, then talk about what we as humans can do to help her and other species that live in a frozen world. The dark artwork is beautiful and imaginative and the rhyming story includes words that will expand a young reader's vocabulary, along with a glossary and other teaching tools. I wish there were more books that allowed children (and adults) to learn the real plight of animals, while giving them the tools to think about how they can improve the world. Excellent!
