My oh my I love this book

Catching Caytie. My oh my I love this book. I first started reading Cindy Anderson's works a few years ago and fell in love right then and there with Fair Catch. I couldn't put the book down to even make dinner. It was that good. Catching Caytie had me ignoring every body around me until I finished it. She's a force to be reckoned with. Her characters are spot on and the humor is fantastic. She sets her scenes very well and catches you in the first pages of her books. There is something so wonderful about being able to completely loose yourself in a book that you don't even realize you are turning pages until you get to the end of the book and pout because you wished you could have kept going. However, this just makes you greedy for more and anticipate her next publications. Very few authors have this kind of effect on me, but Mrs. Anderson is absolutely one of them. I love how realistic her characters are in her books and Catching Caytie doesn't disappoint in this area. Caytie and Jace have real flaws and realistic reactions to situations that come up in the story. It's why I love her works. She is completely realistic about life, love, and weak moments of character. Don't we all have these in our own lives? Her books are worth the small tuppence that you pay and ones that are in my read over and over list. Nice work Cindy Roland Anderson!!!!!

You May Find Yourself Shopping For Some Cute Boots

This was a fun read. Cute, romantic, clean, and hard to put down. I now have a pair of cute cowboy (cowgirl?) boots on my Pinterest Board wish list! I can't wait to read about more Snow Valley characters!

Unfortunately, I recently read a whole string of terrible books. Fortunately, this wasn't one of them!
I can always count on this delightful author to write a great story and this one certainly didn't disappoint! Yay! Thank you for rescuing me from the land of monotony and juvenile writing! As usual, her books are romantic, easy to read, captivate my attention, and the storyline flows so smoothly it's hard to put it down. The characters are well developed and the plot moves along smoothly.
As long as she keeps writing, I'll keep reading because, so far, I haven't been disappointed and I heartily (no pun intended) recommend any of her books -certainly this one is no exception! I feel confident that readers will very much enjoy this book. I give it 5 stars.

This book is the ultimate finishing touch in preparing for SAT Math

I have been on a long search for the right SAT Math book ever since I took the SAT last year. Since I received a decent score of 730 on the SAT Math section last year, I was very disappointed when I found out that my score stayed the same and did not even go near 800. I immediately started working on common workbooks from Kaplan, Princeton Review, Barron’s, etc. I would go through the books believing I know every single concept and I would easily be able to score 800. However, I always got one or two problems wrong on the practice tests. I finally realized the need for a SAT Math book that is more thorough, advanced, and focused than the usual workbooks. When I saw Paul’s SAT Math that claims to be the book “exclusively for students over 700”, I was naturally attracted to buying the book.
This book is the ultimate finishing touch in preparing for SAT Math for those who are definitely expecting a higher range of score. The book itself is very organized. It consists of seven different categories of problems- Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Data Analysis, Algebra 2, Word Problems, Basic concepts answers and explanations, and Math Category. Each section has very concise yet effective concept reviews, exercise problems, questions from the real SATs. However, what makes Paul’s SAT Math stand out amongst other books is that it has Level 5 problems that are harder. These Level 5 problems prepare you for more complex problems on the SATs which other SAT prep books are most certainly not capable of.
However, what struck me the most was the descriptive answer key that shows every single step with explanatory language and supporting visuals. I have had countless experiences when I struggled to find out why I got a question wrong because the answer key either only said the answer or the explanation was too brief and hard to understand.
This book also has 20 practice tests that will test your deeper and more advanced understanding on the materials. This book is a great aid and I truly believe that it prepared me to score 800, not just a decent score above 700.

Good selection of advanced problems... when are the other books coming?

I am currently using this book to tutor a 11th grader and a 12th grader. This book has a really good mix of advanced problems. It’s really easy to find corresponding chapters in the bluebook. Key concepts noted in the each chapter really helps a lot & it’s good that every key concept is condensed into a half-page summary.

I’ve taught students with many different books, but this book is truly unlike any other book in the market. I just wish there were a basic version of this book so that I can use the same concepts to teach all of my students.

NOT for students who score less than 700

This book definitely is NOT for students who score less than 700. Unlike other books that claim to contain “difficult” questions, this book ACTUALLY contains those tough questions that come up later in the sections. One drawback for this book is that it doesn’t have a lot of questions, but it has some really good ones. Highly recommended!

About the Author
A native of London, England, John Glatt left school at sixteen and worked in a variety of jobs – including tea boy and messenger – before joining a small weekly newspaper outside London, where he honed his keen news sense. Over the next few years he freelanced for many national English newspapers, including The Daily Express, The Sunday People, The Daily Mail and Woman Magazine. In 1981 he moved to New York, working on staff for News Limited, as well as freelancing for Newsweek, Omni, the New York Post, the Australian, Modern Business and other newspapers and magazines worldwide. His first book, Rage & Roll: Bill Graham and the Selling of Rock, was published in 1993 to critical acclaim. Two years later he wrote Lost in Hollywood: The Fast Times and Short Life of River Phoenix, a well received biography of the tragic movie star. His next book, The Chieftains: An Authorized Biography, which was published in 1997, saw him nominated for a 2000 Grammy in the spoken word category. In 1998 he wrote the well-received The Ruling House of Monaco: The Story of a Tragic Dynasty, uncovering many new revelations about the Grimaldis. In 1998 he wrote his first true crime book, For I Have Sinned: True Stories of Clergy Who Kill. A year later he followed it up with Evil Twins, an anthology of twins that kill. And since then he has written a true crime book a year, establishing him as a master of the genre. Over the years, Glatt has appeared on scores of television and radio programs all over the world, including Dateline NBC, Fox News, Current Affair, BBC World, and A&E Biography. I was at the Fillmore East quite a lot during its hayday, and saw many of the bands at other venues as well, mostly in NY. I was lucky enough to be at some of the specific shows Glatt talked about in a way that brought me back...to those moments of music history. Glatt certainly captures the vibe, and the stories about Grace, Jerry, Phil, Jorma, Jack, Jai Johnny, Butch, Gregg, Duane, Janis and Carlos, even Jimi - you know all the last names if you're interested in real rock and roll and psychedelic music and an era - were insightful and ring pretty true, though are so good you wonder if he's making some of it up. And it isn't just about the front-men and women, but about all the musicians, Bill Graham, money, and culture, sprinkled with various substances good, bad and otherworldly. I hope all the stories and quotes ARE true because it is a fascinating look at both Bill Graham, the times and all the protagonists. If you're a fan of the Airplane, the Dead, Jimi, the Allaman Brothers, Janis, Big Brother & the Holding Co and Santana, you'll find this a page turner.

A great read. John Glatt has done a fantastic job pulling together the history of two legendary music venues and the people who played there. Packed with new information and great anecdotes. This is the book I'll be buying for all my music loving friends at Christmas.

Great Book to Have Handy

I needed this book for my equine internal medicine class and it was very helpful. It is well organized and had helpful illustrations. For the backyard horseman it may be difficult to understand and you must review the abbreviations in the back. I thoroughly enjoyed flipping through the book.

THE 3RD EDITION OF THIS BOOK WAS MY DAILY COMPANION

I did a 4 year circumnavigation on my yacht (a 34 foot steel sloop)and jimmy Cornel "world cruising routes (3rd edition)" was my daily companion. It helped me a great lot to plan cruises and ocean passages. It allowed me to choose the right sailing areas at the right time. Furthemore, whoever is interested in climatology, weather, currents, oceanography will find a wealth of information in this book. The dreamer as well as the sailer will definitely have a good buy with this book.

Diane Lobsiger is an electrical instructor at Delta College in University Center, Michigan. She instructs students in the Skilled Trades-Electrician program, Wind Turbine Technology program, and Pre-Engineering program. In her prior work as a senior manufacturing controls engineer for 24 years, she gained a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in the design, troubleshooting, specification writing, and approval of machine controls systems. Her expertise includes relay control systems, programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, servo systems, adjustable frequency drives, and fluid power systems. She earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Michigan State University. She recently obtained her Secondary Teaching Certification in mathematics and physics from Saginaw Valley State University. In her free time, she can usually be found fishing at her cabin.

This book has 378 sides where 18 of them are glossary and index. The book is printed unnecessarily with so big font furthermore, easy ladder diagrams often use space of whole side.All the contents of the book would use no more than 160 sides if this book would be printed with an ordinary form as another textbooks.In my point of view author thinks customers are idiots and will not find out tricks that she/he used.Book has some mistakes also.F.exmpl on side 24 example 2 ,formula says 3 x line voltage, it should be the square root of 3 x line voltage. Almost 100$ for this book is realy too much, but book is generally ok.

About the Author
Dennis G. Zill is professor of mathematics at Loyola Marymount University. His interests are in applied mathematics, special functions, and integral transforms. Dr. Zill received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics and his M.S. from Iowa State University in 1967 and 1964, respectively. He received his B.A. from St. Mary's in Winona, Minnesota, in 1962. Dr. Zill also is former chair of the Mathematics Department at Loyola Marymount University. He is the author or co-author of 13 mathematics texts.

A good text on ordinary differential equations with good examples

This particular textbook concerns ordinary differential equations. There are plenty of examples, and they are worked in steps that should make the solution strategy clear to any student with at least two previous semesters of calculus. One of the unusual features of the book are essays written by mathematicians present at the end of chapters 3, 4, 5, and 9. Each essay concerns applications of concepts learned in the previous chapter. The book is well illustrated, and motivations for study are included by making the examples solve practical problems such as the charge on a capacitor, solving orthogonal trajectories of the family of a rectangular hyperbola, or even determining the half-life of a radioactive substance. This makes it ideal for engineering students. There are numerous exercises at the end of each chapter and the solutions to odd numbered problems can be found in the back of the book. Best Book Out There For ODEs

This is the best book I've come across for ordinary differential equations, and I've gone through many of them as a mathematics major! Not only did this book teach me the entire subject matter, I continue to go back to it years later whenever I need to review a technique. The explanations are lucid and clear, and the examples provided are very helpful. Most importantly, when presenting a technique, the authors break it down into all possible cases, so that you are ready to handle any type of problem assigned for hw or tests. I highly recommend this book!

This book came in handy once I started upper-level undergraduate courses in mathematics (if you choose analysis or applied analysis as your focus). I went back to Zill more than any other textbook that I own, to the point where I have certain pages memorized. It's a really great resource.
